We are seeking 15 highly motivated Staff Accountants to join our federal audit team supporting the Department of Defense’s (DoD) annual audit. This is a high-impact role for professionals who want to contribute to one of the most significant financial oversight efforts in the federal government. Candidates will support audit readiness, testing, documentation, and financial statement analysis across DoD entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support audit procedures in accordance with GAO, FASAB, and DoD financial management regulations
- Perform transaction testing, documentation reviews, and account reconciliations
- Assist in compiling, preparing, and analyzing audit evidence
- Coordinate with accounting team members to validate data integrity and audit readiness
- Track audit findings and support remediation efforts with clear documentation
- Prepare workpapers, summaries, and audit schedules as directed
- Follow strict timelines and quality standards while working in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting, or financial management
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or FASAB standards
- Experience with federal or DoD accounting systems a plus
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large data sets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and able to meet deadlines under pressure

- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if not already held)
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak audit periods
